President Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet were evacuated from the White House correspondents’ dinner on Saturday night after a reported shooting.

Trump, Vice President JD Vance, FBI Director Kash Patel, War Secretary Pete Hegseth, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, along with many others were all seen being escorted out of the Washington Hilton, the hotel where the event is being held. Attendees were also seen hiding under tables as Secret Service escorted officials out.

Trump responded to the shooting in a Truth Social post, saying one shooter had been killed. He also “recommended that we ‘LET THE SHOW GO ON’” but left it up to Secret Service.

Fox News reported that the shooter was killed after they tried to breach security at the event.

All were attending the annual dinner, which brings together key members of the administration and the press.

Minutes after the reported shooting, an organizer said the event would continue “shortly.” Education Secretary Linda McMahon was also seen reentering the main ballroom.
