Democratic voters would like to see President Joe Biden replaced as the party’s 2024 pick, but they are scrunching their nose at the poor collection of alternatives.

While recent polls have suggested that Democrats would back former first lady Michelle Obama, a Rasmussen Reports survey shared with Secrets on Monday found that the leading pick among Democrats is “none of them” at 27%.

Obama does come close, with 20% of Democrats feeling she would be better than Biden, but the party is divided over its choices.

Rasmussen’s latest survey is a demonstration of the frustration Democrats feel about having a very old candidate at the top of the ticket whom the Left feels isn’t progressive enough.

On the one hand, they like the idea of replacing him. By a margin of 48% to 38%, Democrats said they would approve of “finding another candidate to replace Joe Biden before the election in November.”

But they have little faith that will happen. When asked, “How likely is it that Democrats will replace Joe Biden with another candidate as their presidential nominee before the election in November,” 33% said it was likely, but more, 62%, said it’s not likely.

And maybe that’s because few are jazzed about the alternatives. Below is the order of choice among the Democrats interviewed by Rasmussen:

  • None of them, 27%.
  • Michelle Obama, 20%.
  • Vice President Kamala Harris, 15%.
  • Hillary Clinton, 12%.
  • Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), 11%.
  • Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI), 9%.
  • Not sure, 6%.

The results weren’t any better in the results of all voters, Democrats, Republicans, and independents:

  • None of them, 46%.
  • Michelle Obama, 15%.
  • Vice President Kamala Harris, 10%.
  • Hillary Clinton, 9%.
  • Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), 8%.
  • Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI), 7%.
  • Not sure, 6%.
