President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are delivering remarks on gun violence at 4:45 p.m.

Biden is set to unveil an executive order to address matters in the gun industry as Biden cements his gun control legacy in the remaining months of his presidency. The executive order is twofold: One element looks to curb the use of machine gun conversion devices, which are illegal but can be made on 3D printers, and the second looks to make school shooting drills less traumatic and more effective for children.

The order comes several weeks after a school shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, left two teachers and two students dead.

In June, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy declared gun violence a public health crisis.
