Former President Joe Biden is giving his first public speech on Tuesday since leaving office.

Biden, who left the White House in January, is scheduled to begin speaking at approximately 5:45 p.m. He will deliver his address to an event hosted by Advocates, Counselors, and Representatives for the Disabled in Chicago and speak out against alleged cuts to Social Security.

BIDEN REEMERGES FOR SOCIAL SECURITY-FOCUSED SPEECH AS TRUMP POPULARITY DIPS

Biden, 82, forfeited the Democratic nomination in July after a concerted pressure campaign from Democratic leaders over his age and health. Former Vice President Kamala Harris took his spot and was defeated by President Donald Trump despite Biden’s endorsement.

Democratic anger was widely directed at Biden, with many in the party blaming their sweeping election losses on his late exit from the race. The anger may have contributed to his decision to remain outside the limelight in his retirement despite Trump’s public criticisms of him.
