Former Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter Freedom was ejected from Sunday’s WNBA matchup between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky after a confrontation with Sky guard Natasha Cloud.
The incident occurred during the third quarter when Cloud was seen yelling toward Enes Kanter Freedom, who was sitting courtside. When Freedom stepped toward the floor, security intervened and escorted him out amid a torrent of boos. Take a look:
Enes Kanter Freedom later took to the social media platform X to say, “I just got kicked out of a WNBA game for supporting WOMEN! Let that sink in, AMERICA!”
“It’s always women hating on other women,” he later added.
While it remains unclear what sparked the confrontation, Enes Kanter Freedom recently made headlines when he declared himself for the WNBA after the league’s leadership said it would discuss what defines a woman. As part of his continued trolling, the former NBA player was seen wearing a shirt with the definition of “woman” emblazoned on the front.
“Before getting tossed, Freedom spent the afternoon poking the bear,” noted Fox News. “At halftime, he posted a photo outside an arena restroom with the caption: ‘It’s halftime, and I need to use the restroom… Rules are rules @WNBA.’”
“Enes was also part of a hostile pregame scene outside the arena. A mob of progressive fans confronted Freedom, forcing security to form a shield around the 6-foot-10 former NBA center. One spectator flipped him the bird, while another shouted, ‘You were sorry in the league!’ it added.
