Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) sidestepped questions about a possible 2024 presidential run, saying he would have his answers in a few months.

In an appearance on Fox News’s Hannity, host Sean Hannity reviewed the governor’s record and allowed him to respond to left-wing criticisms. At the end of the conversation, Hannity confronted DeSantis on rumors that he’s planning to run for president in 2024.

“It’s an opportunity. We are laser-focused on that,” he said. “Give us a few months. We will put up a lot of wins, and we will be in a better position to make a decision about the future.”

Hannity then asked if DeSantis was at least thinking about a presidential run.

“I think it is fair to say that I have people coming up to me and asking me to do it all the time. I am very good about putting one step in front of the other and focusing on the task at hand,” DeSantis said. “I have to execute the mission here. As we get beyond that, we will take a look.”

DeSantis has quickly become a favorite for the 2024 race for the White House among many conservatives. He’s expected to announce his candidacy sometime in the summer.
