Longtime actress Courteney Cox said that her former co-star Matthew Perry visits her “a lot” after the actor passed away in October 2023.

Cox and Perry portrayed Monica Geller and Chandler Bing for ten seasons on the hit sitcom “Friends.” The two characters became romantically involved and eventually married as part of the show’s plot. During an interview with CBS Sunday Morningwhile discussing her career and the hit show that made her famous, Cox said that she still feels Perry’s presence and spirit.

“He visits me a lot, if we believe in that,” Cox said. “I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that are…I think they guide us.”

“I sense Matthew around for sure,” she said.

She fondly recalled her former co-star and emphasized Perry’s genuine kindness and good heart. Cox also raved about his sense of humor.

“I think he’s one of the funniest human beings in the world,” Cox said. “He’s just so funny. He is genuinely a huge heart, obviously struggled. I’m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years.”

Perry passed away unexpectedly in October 2023 after being found face-down and unresponsive in a pool at his house. An autopsy later showed that Perry died due to the “acute effects of ketamine.” He was 54 years old.
