It’s possible that President Joe Biden found relief in his son Hunter Biden’s plea deal, according to a report.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Hunter Biden would plead guilty to two charges related to failure to pay federal income tax. The plea deal will allow him to avoid jail time, which is being welcomed with relief in the White House, sources told Politico. According to the sources, concerns over the legal troubles of his son have occupied a large amount of the president’s time, and the recent news has been met with bittersweet relief.

Publicly, Joe Biden told reporters on Tuesday, “I’m very proud of my son.”
The sources speaking with Politico expanded on the sentiment, claiming the president was proud of his son for owning up to his past mistakes. They added that Joe Biden calls Hunter Biden daily to voice his support and express his pride in his sobriety.
The president’s possible relief comes amid a renewed firestorm from Republicans, who had voiced concern for months that Hunter Biden would reach a plea deal and avoid punishment for a string of larger crimes.
