Hunter Biden claims the two IRS employees, Gary Shapley, a supervisory special agent, and Joseph Zielger, a 13-year special agent, unlawfully disclosed his tax return information when testifying about the investigation and through public statements, according to multiple reports.

The lawsuit comes after the president’s son was indicted by federal prosecutors on gun charges on Thursday, after a plea deal fell apart in July. Hunter Biden intended to plead guilty to two misdemeanors for failure to pay his taxes in 2017 and 2018, but a district judge refused to sign off on an earlier deal, citing a separate agreement to resolve a gun charge.
