House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said that President Joe Biden’s “countless lies” uncovered by congressional investigations “could potentially be the biggest political scandal in [his] adult lifetime.”

“We’ve been obstructed at every turn, not only by Biden attorneys, but by the Department of Justice, by Homeland Security now, we’ve been obstructed by the media, by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, the FBI, and the list goes on and on,” Comer told Hannity. “But we are still able to produce new evidence every week that no one knew beforehand, and I believe all this evidence that we’ve gathered, we are finally starting to piece it together and put together a timeline. And what we are finding is very concerning about the current president of the United States.”

On Tuesday, Comer subpoenaed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Secret Service officials over allegations that the Justice Department tipped off Hunter Biden’s Secret Service detail and his father’s transition team to an interview investigators wanted to conduct for their criminal investigation into the president’s son. Six officials were subpoenaed in total: two Secret Service employees and three Department of Homeland Security officials for depositions and, in Mayorkas’s case, for documents.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) also joined the program and added that Republicans are “coming at this from three sides,” referencing both his and Comer’s committee investigations, in addition to House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith’s (R-MO) work.

“We are coming at this from three sides to get the facts for the country so we know whether we need to go to impeachment inquiry,” Jordan said. “Once you actually pass a resolution that says we’re in that phase of oversight work, our constitutional duty, then the courts have been much more willing… to say, ‘Hey, this is a constitutional duty of the House of Representatives, if in fact they’re doing impeachment, you need to provide those documents and those individuals for the depositions that they ask for.’ So, that’s why that is significant, and again, I think the evidence is pointing as clearly in that direction.”

Comer agreed and said, “The evidence is overwhelming.” He noted that he’s been in talks with moderate members of the House and believes there are enough votes to pass the impeachment inquiry resolution.

“The fact the White House announced today they’re creating a war room, as opposed to cooperating with our investigation. If Joe Biden’s completely innocent, if he’s running the most transparent administration in history — like he’s said, if he’s been completely honest with the American people about his knowledge and involvement in his family’s shady business schemes, then why won’t they just comply with our request?” Comer questioned. “We haven’t requested anything that I think anyone would say is out of the ordinary. This is a credible investigation. Everything that we have made public is new information that no one knew before.”

“We have caught Joe Biden in countless lies about his knowledge and involvement in his family’s shady business schemes,” he continued. “This could potentially be the biggest political scandal in my adult lifetime.”

Comer noted that there is evidence showing Biden’s family has taken more than $20 million from foreign nationals in exchange for “doing favors.”

“This is very serious. We need to get all the facts. We’ve been producing evidence,” Comer said. “We’re at some roadblocks now with this administration. This impeachment inquiry will help us get all the evidence so the American people can know once and for all exactly what Joe Biden did and when he did it.”
