Justin Roiland, the co-creator of the popular series Rick and Morty who was just dropped from the show following revelations of a domestic violence charge against him, has been cut from two Hulu productions for the same reason.

Roiland co-created the series Solar Opposites and served as an executive producer and voice actor on the recently-debuted Koala Man. The two series, just like Rick and Morty, will move forward, just without Roiland. Furthermore, 20th Television Animation, where Roiland had an overall deal and which produces both series, has also cut ties with the 42-year-old animator, the Hollywood Reporter said.

ADULT SWIM CUTS TIES WITH RICK AND MORTY CREATOR AMID DOMESTIC ABUSE SCANDAL

NBC News revealed earlier this month that Roiland was facing felony domestic violence and false imprisonment charges over a 2020 incident with a woman he was dating at the time. This threw the future of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty up in the air, but on Tuesday, it was announced that the show would continue, just without Roiland.

In addition to co-creating the headlining animated science fiction show, Roiland also had a big role in the creative direction of the show and voiced many of the characters, including the titular Rick and Morty.

Roiland pleaded not guilty to the charges, maintaining his innocence.

“To be clear, not only is Justin innocent but we also have every expectation that this matter is on course to be dismissed once the District Attorney’s office has completed its methodical review of the evidence,” his attorney, T. Edward Welbourn, wrote in a statement, obtained by the Hollywood Reporter. “We look forward to clearing Justin’s name and helping him move forward as swiftly as possible.”
