Guitarist Jeff Beck announced onstage during his U.K. tour Thursday that his next album will feature Johnny Depp.

The announcement comes just one day after Depp won his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, who also partially won her claim of defamation. Depp has been with Beck in the United Kingdom since last weekend, opting to skip the verdict in Fairfax County, Virginia, court.

“I’m going to take this opportunity and tell you I met this guy five years ago, and we’ve never stopped laughing since,” Beck announced to the crowd. “We actually made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It will be out in July.”

Depp was reportedly onstage at the time of the announcement and bowed to the crowd. The actor also accompanied Beck for a set of six songs, including covers of Dennis Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, and Killing Joke.

Beck will perform in the U.K. on June 4, June 6, and June 7.

The jury found Heard liable for all defamatory statements presented by her ex-husband’s suit, and the actress is thus responsible for paying Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Depp owes Heard $2 million in compensatory damages.
