Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz took aim at his Democratic challenger’s lack of time on the campaign trail on Monday, days after former Jersey Shore cast member Nicole “Snooki” LaValle appeared in a video message joking about Oz’s longtime New Jersey residency.

The former television personality, who is endorsed by former President Donald Trump, said Monday that his Democratic opponent John Fetterman, the lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania, has been “hiding” from voters for the last few months and relied on “snarky” posts from “consultants,” following reports that Fetterman on Thursday will make his first major in-person appearance since suffering a stroke in May.

SNOOKI TROLLS DR. OZ: ‘YOU’LL BE BACK HOME IN JERSEY SOON’

“John Fetterman has been hiding from voters for the last few months. He last week said he was fine, I haven’t heard from him since. And they’re focused on these snarky posts written by consultants, and no candidate, opposite either party, ought to be shielded from scrutiny,” Oz told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham. “That’s why I’ve been asking him to get on the campaign trail, come play.”

Fetterman is expected to attend a fundraiser on Thursday in Philadelphia, following his return to the campaign trail last week after suffering a stroke days ahead of his contested primary victory.

Snooki appeared in a video message shared by Fetterman last Thursday, telling Oz that he’ll be “back home in Jersey soon.”

“Jersey will not forget you. I just want to let you know I will not forget you. And don’t worry because you’ll be back home in Jersey soon. This is only temporary, so good luck. You got this, and Jersey loves you,” Snooki said.

Ingraham, who admitted that she and Oz had “some differences during the primary,” pressed the candidate on if recent campaign finance reports showing that Fetterman has five times as much cash on hand as Oz were “correct.”

“The Democrats have very cleverly taken all these issues that have come up over the summer, the Dobbs decision, concerns about guns, and they’ve used these as excuses to raise money from the Democratic loyalists. And interestingly, when Republicans get mad, we go out and mow the lawn. Democrats, when they get mad, donate money to their party,” Oz quipped, urging supporters to donate to his campaign.

Fetterman financially out-performed Oz from late April to the beginning of July, pulling in $9.9 million compared to Oz, who brought in $1.1 million, and an additional $2.2 million in a personal loan to his campaign, according to the Post-Gazette.
