Musician Ozzy Osbourne will have a “very major operation” Monday that is “really going to determine the rest of his life,” according to his wife Sharon Osbourne.

The TV personality revealed she was returning to Los Angeles to be with her husband while speaking on her British talk show last week.

“He has a very major operation on Monday, and I have to be there,” Osbourne said on The Talk. “It’s really going to determine the rest of his life.”

While details of the surgery were not discussed, the former Black Sabbath vocalist has complained of neck problems as a result of a 2003 bike accident.

“I’m just waiting on some more surgery on my neck,” Ozzy told the New Musical Express magazine in May. “I can’t walk properly these days. I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.”
