Presidential candidates vying for the nation’s top office released their latest fundraising numbers for the second quarter as they continue along the 2024 presidential campaign trail.

President Joe Biden (D) came in first place, raising more than double that of former President Trump (R) and topping fundraising by every other candidate, providing a large boost in the second quarter as he seeks reelection.

In total, Biden’s team took in $27 million, increasing his overall cash on-hand to $77 million, despite his recent low polling numbers.

Around 400,000 donors made 670,000 donations across all entities, which includes the Democratic National Committee and joint fundraising committees, according to the Biden campaign. It also said 30 percent of all donors previously donated to Biden’s 2020 presidential bid.

“While Republicans are burning through resources in a divisive primary focused on who can take the most extreme MAGA positions, we are significantly outraising every single one of them — because our team’s strength is our grassroots supporters,” campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodríguez stated.

As for the former president, the Trump campaign out-raised his Republican opponents with an impressive $35 million.

His campaign and super PAC took in more than $35 million during the second quarter—more than his anyone seeking the GOP nomination. That number is double what his joint fundraising committee, consisting of his campaign and super PAC, hauled in during the first quarter.
