New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is prioritizing being a girlboss as a new life update sees the 36-year-old lawmaker freezing her eggs in hopes of starting a family at a later date.
The New York Post reported Sunday that AOC had been thinking about the decision for some time, but footage just came out of her injecting hormones for the process.
On how these injections work, Healthline noted that “medications are used to stimulate eggs to grow.”
“Those eggs are then harvested from the ovaries and frozen for storage. At a later date, the eggs can be thawed and combined with sperm to create an embryo. The embryo can then be implanted into the uterus during an embryo transfer cycle.”
Footage of AOC was reposted to social media platform X by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

She announced to viewers this was her first day of freezing her eggs, showing the items at her disposal to the camera.
The New York Post noted other comments she made about her decision and balancing her priorities as a public official. “The media will run up and ask a question like, ‘Are you going to run for this? Or are you going to run for that?’ And it is almost through this very two-dimensional, craven understanding or ambitious understanding of power,” she said.
“I think a lot of us actually approach these considerations or these decisions through the larger context of our lives as whole human beings and what is happening in our lives, as whole human beings.”
She called freezing her eggs “bad***” considering she was still maintaining a busy schedule of interviews and media appearances, as the New York Post says she was to be on “This Week” via ABC News that day.
“I want you all to see that. And because women can do anything, and I think it’s bad*** that I’m going to be giving myself shots in the green room [as I] get my glam on.
“This is just not something that men deal with,” she added.
“Men run for office, or frankly, they interview for jobs, and people don’t think in the back of their mind, ‘Okay, this guy is running for office. How old is he? Oh, well, is he going to want to start a family.’”
Indeed, this is a concern for women because women alone can bear life.
It’s their purpose on this Earth.
At 36, AOC is approaching the end of her window for a family. After 35, a pregnancy is “geriatric” and carries risks.
Federalist senior editor John Daniel Davidson gave the lawmaker a warning that this process is not straightforward. He noted the case of a woman, Brigitte Adams, who did the same thing, only to lose the frozen eggs and never have children, winding up devastated and saddened by the news.

For AOC, she could have one or possibly two children if she decides to in the future.
The careerist mentality has been fed to women through feminist propaganda.
Bowling Green State University said that the median age of a women first giving birth has been increasing over the decades. “The estimated median age at first birth has increased by five years from 1960 to 2023. In 1960, it was 22. In 1990, it increased to 24 and by 2023, it stood at 27.”
Women have been convinced motherhood is a form of oppression, and that working is liberating.
Many will only realize they were lied to when it’s too late.
